Thorley Industries LLC issues safety alert for MamaRoo infant swings (models 4M-005, 1026, and 1037) and RockaRoo infant rockers (model number 4M-012)
Thorley Industries LLC, (trading as “4Moms”) worked with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to issue a safety alert for certain models of its MamaRoo swings and RockaRoo rockers. When the swing or rocker is not in use, the restraint straps can dangle below the seat and crawling infants can become entangled in the dangling straps, posing a strangulation hazard.
The affected products are MamaRoo infant swings models 4M-005 (versions 1.0 and 2.0), 1026 (version 3.0) and 1037 (version 4.0) and RockaRoo infant rockers model number 4M-012.
4Moms has developed a strap fastener that attaches to the back of the product’s seat. This fastener will prevent the straps from dangling under the swing/rocker when not in use.
So far, there has been no reported incidents locally.
Consumers are requested to contact Bao-Na Gan at Bloom & Grow Singapore immediately on +65 6392 5675 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to register for a free strap fastener, which will be shipped to them. Consumers with an infant who can crawl should avoid leaving their child unattended with the product(s), and stow the product(s) in a safe, inaccessible location until the additional strap fastener is properly fitted.
